Scotty Johnson is a professor at Berklee College of Music and an active guitarist in the Boston area, with regular performances with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic, and the Portland Symphony. He has toured around the world many times and recorded CDs with guitarist Paul Gilbert (Bee Hive Live, Alligator Farm), the Ford Blues Band (Fords and Friends with Robben Ford), the Blindside Blues Band, Dick Dale (Calling up Spirits), Ansley Dunbar, and many others.
In addition, Johnson is an active pit guitarist with over 50 theater credits including Moulin Rouge, The Lion King, Finding Neverland, Pippin, and Memphis, among many others. His instructional video Accelerate Your Rock Guitar Playing is available from Berklee Press/Hal Leonard/Rittor Music, and he's the coauthor of the Berklee Online course Steve Vai Guitar Techniques and instructor for Guitar Chords 101.
