At age 18, while attending Berklee College of Music, Carr joined her first rock band and performed sold-out shows through the New England region. During that time she began singing local and national TV and radio jingles. She graduated from Berklee in 1990 with a degree in professional music. With her professional experience, world-class talent, and passion for music, Carr is one of the most celebrated and sought-after vocalists in New England. Known for her powerful voice and stylistic versatility, she possesses a presence that is passionate, energetic, warm, and alluring.
"As a performing and recording artist, my professional background enables me to teach a variety of styles. Students who study with me will understand a strong technical foundation enables them to express their creativity and individuality confidently. Through exercises and exploring different methods, they discover that this enhances their own style of singing. My goal is to educate, inspire, and train my students for healthy singing, which provides longevity. While they're attending Berklee, I encourage them to begin their career path to establish experience. So when they leave they have already started paving the way for the path that will lead them to success in their careers."
"I want my students to come away knowing singing is about expression and freedom. Through passion, dedication, and hard work, they will experience growth in their singing. I love to see their joy when they become more courageous and confident through doing the work."
