Curriculum
As a Berklee Interdisciplinary Arts Institute (BIAI) student, you will be immersed in a critical forum in which you will develop capstone portfolio work. You’ll collaborate with peers and leading artists from other disciplines, as well as with world-class visiting faculty who will provide critiques, lectures, and in-depth workshops.
You will have the opportunity to take part in travel, internships, and professional collaborations to develop real-world experience in fusing your musical expertise with other artists’ work.
In the past, students have participated in experiences such as:
- composition, video, and performance work with Danza Contemporary de Cuba in the Teatro Nacional in Havana, Cuba;
- collaborative sound installation with MIT students; and
- multimedia performance of Mike Ladd’s graphic novel Satchmokovich with the author at the National Center for African American Artists.
Applicants are selected for the BIAI based on GPA, musical skill, artistic vision, creativity, and ability to collaborate within a group.
