Studios, Suites, and Tech Labs

Description

Studios, production suites, and tech labs are available to students in certain majors and oftentimes enrolled in a specific course. 

Please note that there is no vocal, speech, brass, or woodwind performance or recording permitted in any of the technology facilities.

Before reserving a room, it is very important that you are aware of the policies for spring 2021 and Academic Technology policies and protocols, and that you follow them closely. Failure to do so could result in not being allowed to use the facility or even being fined by the state.
 

How to Reserve Studio Project Time (Contemporary Writing and Production; Electronic Production and Design; and Songwriting)

  1. Reserve a room by logging in to aaof.berklee.edu. Watch a video tutorial on how to use the system.  
  2. Submit a daily symptom check and attestation form each time you have a reservation, on the day of your reservation, no more than four hours prior to arrival at the facility. Access to the facility will not be granted until this form is submitted.
  3. An email notification will be sent to you confirming your reservation.

How to Reserve Studio Project Time (Music Production and Engineering)

  1. Schedule your project time by filling out the form on mpe.berklee.edu
  2. The schedule can be viewed by logging in to aaof.berklee.edu. Watch a video tutorial on how to use the system.  
  3. Submit a daily symptom check and attestation form each time you have a reservation, on the day of your reservation, no more than four hours prior to arrival at the facility. Access to the facility will not be granted until this form is submitted.

About the Facilities

Hours of Operation

Studios and Production Suites
Weekdays: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 a.m.
Weekends: 10:00 a.m.–12:00 a.m.

Technology Labs
Weekdays: 2:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Weekends: 12:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m.

These are general schedules. Lab times are scheduled around classes, and not all labs are open at all times. Please check the online schedule for specific information. Walk-in times will be available for the technology labs. The general lab time schedule will continue in 90-minute slots, and all students must leave the lab at the end of their lab time slot. Reservations are recommended.

Reservations are required for all time in studios and production suites.

The technology facilities will not be open for student use during the first week of classes and are closed during holidays and college closings.

 

Required Safety Protocols 

  • There is no vocal, speech, brass, or woodwind performance or recording permitted in any of the technology facilities. 
  • Social distancing must be strictly observed.
  • Students must adhere to the room capacity shown when booking a room. 
  • Signs will clearly mark spacing for safely queuing to enter the building. 
  • Masks are required at all times. 
  • Proper personal hygiene practices must be followed, including frequent handwashing and the use of hand sanitizer. 
  • Designated cleaning protocols for each space must be followed. This includes wiping all surfaces you touch and equipment you use before and after use. Sanitizing wipes and liquid will be provided. 
  • The protocols will be clearly posted in each space.
