On-Campus Support
Health and Wellness
We provide health and wellness support to all summer students through a variety of services and events, including on-campus healthcare options, COVID-19 testing, counseling, and more.
On-Campus Nurse
A nurse will be on duty for the entirety of the program that participants may consult with for minor ailments or injuries. Participants who experience immediate, life-threatening health concerns should go to the emergency room, call Berklee Public Safety Department, or dial 911 from any telephone. Residence Life staff are available to accompany participants residing on campus to the hospital.
Counseling
A part-time mental health clinician will be available to assist Aspire students who are experiencing emotional or short-term psychological difficulties during their time at Berklee. Once a crisis has been resolved, parental permission is required for minors to receive additional mental health care while at Berklee.
Two therapeutic groups will be offered weekly: an open-discussion drop-in group, where students can come to discuss pressing issues and find support and mutual aid from other students, and a psycho-educational group, which will cover a range of topics such as managing stress and anxiety, understanding stage fright, navigating conflict, and self-care.
Learning Resources
Aspire students take classes that inspire learning and curiosity. To dive further into a topic or get assistance understanding a new subject (such as music theory or arranging), check out Berklee’s music library and student learning center.
Stan Getz Library
Imagine shelves of books, sheet music, and records by your favorite artists, and you’ll get an idea of what Berklee’s Stan Getz Library is like. Over the summer, you’ll have access to on-campus services and a robust catalog of digital, print, and audio recordings.
Creative Technology Center
Music Technology Training
Learn how to record, produce, and notate music using the latest music apps and equipment. Berklee's Creative Technology Center offers events and workshops, classes, and individual training to teach you how to make music using your computer.
Musicianship Tutoring
Students are eligible to receive free tutoring from experienced undergraduate students. Whether you want to brush up on your sight-singing, work out some chord progressions, or practice dictation, musicianship tutors are available to help.
Student Safety
Berklee takes student safety very seriously and employs a trained staff of police officers and safety personnel to help in the event of an emergency.
Public Safety Department
Berklee’s Public Safety Department is responsible for campus safety, security, and crime prevention on campus. Sworn police officers are on duty 24/7, while security personnel can be found at fixed posts inside most campus buildings.
Emergency Information
Aspire students and parents can sign up to receive SMS and/or email notifications related to Berklee campus safety through the Berklee Emergency Notification System (or BENS).
