What's the difference between writing tutoring offered by the Center for Liberal Arts and Sciences Tutoring and the services offered by the Professional Writing Center?
The Professional Writing Center focuses on writing music and is located in the 150 Massachusetts Avenue building. The Center for Liberal Arts and Sciences Tutoring includes a focus on writing in English and is located in room 110 of Berklee's 7 Haviland Street building.
How do I schedule an appointment?
The answer to this question depends on the subject for which you seek a tutor. Please see the table below.
Please be aware that sessions tend to fill up, especially surrounding midterms and finals, so it's a good idea not to wait until the last minute to set up your tutoring session(s).
How long are tutoring sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. If you need more time and your tutor is available, it’s possible you may be able to work with them for longer in some cases.
Can you provide feedback on my written work?
Yes. Our tutors can discuss essays and other assignments with you.
Can you edit my work?
No. We will do our best to help you recognize errors, but we will not make corrections for you. As an engaged participant in your interactive tutoring session, you may be able to correct some errors during the session.
