Biography

The song “Jealous of the Angels” became a viral hit for Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jenn Bostic ‘08, racking up more than two million views on YouTube, winning five Independent Country Music Association Awards, and reaching number one on the UK singer-songwriter charts. Bostic garnered huge success in the UK with her ensuing 2012 album Jealous, and was the first international independent artist to have three singles playlisted on Radio 2, the most listened-to radio station in Europe.

“I feel so blessed to have such an amazing community of Berklee alumni friends around the world,” Bostic said, referencing several fellow alumni including Charlie Hutto ‘06, who produced her first two albums, and her collaborations with Charlie Worsham ‘06. “I’m also incredibly grateful to those involved with the Nashville spring break trip for a wonderful introduction to the city I love and now call home.”

Bostic credits Berklee’s premier vocal event, Singers Showcase, for preparing her to sing on huge stages like The Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman Auditorium and Jazz at Lincoln Center, adding, “I treasure my time in college and am so grateful for the community of teachers and students who helped pull the artist out from within me.”
