The #BerkleeAnywhere Concert Series features Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee students performing virtually, from wherever they are in the world. We may be separated by distance, but music empowers us to unite. Wherever you are, we invite you to connect with us every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. ET on Berklee’s IGTV and Facebook pages.

About the Artist

Born in Tehran, Iran, Armin Morshed started playing guitar with his father, Masih, at age 5. His started composing and orchestrating five years later. In 2015, he and follow musician Bardo B. brought together a group of talented Iranian musicians for a project called Gypsy Jazz Night, which performed in Niavaran Hall. Morshed arranged several jazz standards for the ensemble, including “Nature Boy,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” and “Caravan.”

Morshed went on to become an in-demand session player, collaborating with musicians in a variety of genres. From 2015 to 2020, he played guitar on hundreds of recordings in Iran, from films and television series to pop and jazz records. His first album, Back to Dreaming, released on June 12, 2018, features complex guitar and percussion arrangements played in a fusion style, with Tiago Moraes on bass and Bardo B. on vocals.
