Accepted Graduate Students: Next Steps Fall 2021
As you prepare to start classes on campus this fall, all students must review and complete the following enrollment steps. Please contact us at graduatestudies@berklee.edu if you have any questions.
Submit Your Immunizations and Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
All entering and transfer students must submit a completed Berklee Entering Student Immunization Form to Magnus Health, Berklee’s provider for collecting, managing, and tracking immunization information. You should receive an email from Magnus Health to the email address that is connected to your application with information on how to access your Magnus Health account. This step in your acceptance process cannot be completed until Magnus Health emails you with your login credentials. Please be aware that it may take up to a week from your admittance to the institution for your Magnus Health account to be active.
Remember that Berklee will require all students returning to our Boston campus this fall to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the fall 2021 semester. We strongly encourage you to submit your COVID-19 vaccination record as soon as possible.
If you submit your vaccination record after August 1 for residential students and August 15 for commuter students, you may not be able to access campus at the start of the semester and are at risk of being unable to enroll for the fall semester or losing your on-campus housing.
We have moved this deadline earlier because you will be moving into a communal living environment before the semester begins. Ensuring that everyone is fully vaccinated is the most effective way to keep our community safe. This new deadline will give us time to work with you and your family to come up with a plan to ensure that you are vaccinated before you arrive.
If you have concerns about meeting the deadline (e.g., if you will only have one dose of a two-dose vaccine by August), please email covidhealthadministrator@berklee.edu.
International students: If you have signed up for the Tufts Medical Center vaccination clinic in August for Berklee students, you do not need to take any action at this time.
If you have any questions, please email Health and Wellness at healthandwellness@berklee.edu.
Set up Your OnePass Account and Berklee Email Address
OnePass allows you to have one set of login credentials for many of Berklee’s technology services. To view and set up your OnePass ID, go to the "Next Steps" page in the applicant portal. Once you activate your Berklee OnePass, you’ll have access to:
- your Berklee.edu email account, which you should check regularly leading up to the start of the semester;
- my.berklee.edu, where you will go to pay your tuition bill, view your tuition statement, and transfer credit (if applicable); and
- internal web pages within Berklee.edu and college.berklee.edu that require a login to view the content.
Note: After you are accepted to Berklee and pay your tuition deposit, it can take up to a week for your OnePass information to be added to the applicant portal.
Review Important Health Insurance Information
All students must be enrolled in a health insurance plan that offers comprehensive coverage. All coverage must be in effect while you are enrolled at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee, even while studying abroad, and coverage must be compliant with state and federal regulations under the Affordable Care Act. We also recommend that your insurance plan provides coverage anywhere in the United States and abroad, and that it includes provisions for medical evacuation and repatriation of remains.
Students may waive (decline) participation in the Berklee SHIP if they can demonstrate coverage with a comparable insurance plan that is consistent with existing state and federal requirements for students. The insurance coverage requirements for waiving the SHIP are not internal policies set by Berklee.
The waiver is completed online on the Gallagher Student Health website (gallagherstudent.com/berklee). You must complete an online waiver for each new academic year during which you do not want the institution's plan. Verbal waiver requests, letters, and copies of insurance cards will not be accepted. Should your waiver be denied, information on how to appeal a waiver denial will be available directly to students in the denial email. All decisions made by Gallagher Student Health are final. Berklee engages the professional services of Gallagher Student Health and Special Risk to communicate to each eligible student how to request a waiver; notify students of the dates by which waiver requests may be made; and review whether or not waiver requests are compliant with regulations.
Please note that Berklee Online students are not enrolled in or eligible for the SHIP.

Attend Mandatory Orientation Starting August 31
Mark your calendars for new student orientation (login required), which will be held on campus beginning Tuesday, August 31.
Orientation is designed to connect you with Berklee faculty and staff, introduce you to your peers, and familiarize you with important resources, policies, and processes. All new students are required to attend orientation, regardless of whether they have attended Berklee for an undergraduate program, to ensure a smooth semester start.
During the summer, leading up to orientation, we will host virtual social events and ask that students complete an online course to help you prepare for the start of the semester. More information about the course, virtual social events, and the orientation week schedule will be emailed to you later in the summer, and also posted to the graduate orientation webpage (login required).
Learn More (login required)
If you have questions about orientation, email the Graduate Studies Division team at graduatestudies@berklee.edu.
Clear All Check-In Restrictions
All restrictions on your student account must be cleared before you are able to check in for the semester in August. Log in to my.berklee.edu, and select "Semester Check-In" in the Check-In section to view and resolve your restrictions.
Review Technology Requirements
As a graduate student at Berklee College of Music, you are required to own an Apple laptop computer that meets certain standards established by the academic and technology leadership of the college. Your computer must be capable of running the most current Mac OS X operating system. In most cases, if your computer is fewer than three years old, it will meet the needs of your coursework. Please note, however, that over time, older computers may become incompatible with newer applications and operating systems. Any of the current MacBook Pro laptop models meet the requirements.
Please review the technology requirements webpage in preparation for the fall semester. If you have any questions, please email 2238@berklee.edu.
