Zami Buggs-King
Zami Buggs King has been surrounded by music all of her life. Upon matriculating at the Philadelphia High School of Creative and Performing Arts, Zami was able to stretch her perceptions of music and how they influence the world. Zami first discovered her love of contemporary songwriting at the Institute of Musical Arts in Goshen, Massachusetts, where she deepened her skills in collaborative music-making, recording, and performance.
At Berklee, Zami quickly immersed herself in the worlds of live performance, songwriting, and arranging, and has since grown into a well-rounded artist. As a musician who also has been academically driven in literature, history, and the social sciences, she intends to deepen her knowledge of music and its relationship to history, culture, and society.
