Boston-based singer-songwriter Taylor Deneen is currently in her second year at Berklee College of Music, majoring in both professional music and contemporary writing and production. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her signature sound comes from a variety of genres including contemporary R&B, neo-soul, funk, and jazz. Some of her main musical influences include Jill Scott, D’Angelo, Sarah Vaughan, and Chaka Khan.
While at Berklee, Deneen has graced the stage multiple times, singing lead vocals in the prestigious Singers Showcase: Michael Jackson Tribute, performing for music executive Sylvia Rhone as supporting vocals for Gabrielle Goodman, and performing at various restaurants and other engagements. Her biggest performance to date was the sold-out Aretha Franklin: Queen of Soul Tribute at the Berklee Performance Center this April.
In August of 2018, Deneen released her first self-written and produced single, “Bold,” which is available on all streaming platforms. Most recently, she has been working on an original project and is excited to share it with her growing audience very soon.
