Topline and Vocal Production

Description
This course will build on the foundations established in SW-271. This advanced course takes students in-depth into topline creation, completion, and delivery. Through weekly assignments and projects, students focus on creating toplines from predefined parameters such as; artist/project limitations and requirements; modern music market considerations, and authentic genre features. Students will also delve into topline collaboration, advanced vocal production and processing of toplines and the business of toplining. In this plan of study, students will learn from both the songwriter and producer perspectives. Each of these roles play a significant part in completing a successful collaboration in toplining.
