Sidney Blanchard was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Music has always played an important role in her life. She started playing music at the age of 6 when her mother bought her a violin, then moved on to learn piano and later attend the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts for high school. There she studied jazz performance on piano with New Orleans greats such as Harry Connick Jr., Michael Pellera, and Wynton Marsalis.
Since receiving a full scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, she has played at many venues in Boston and New York. Blanchard has also gotten the opportunity to play at popular music festivals such as Outside Lands in San Francisco, California; the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival; and South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. She's currently playing in two touring pop bands, majoring in jazz composition, and planning to graduate in the fall of 2019.
