The Berklee Popular Music Institute (BPMI) is sending seven artists to perform at top music festivals in the U.S. and Canada this summer including the Governors Ball, Essence Festival, Chicago Open Air, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands.

Indie rock trio Weakened Friends will kick off a tour of the eastern half of the U.S. starting at this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Austin, Texas, where they will meet up and perform with several other Berklee alumni and student bands for the festival's Boston and Beyond party on St. Patrick's Day (March 17).
