Description

This course is an in-depth examination of advanced immersive and proscenium mix and delivery techniques for post-production audio. Topics include surround mixing and other multi-channel mix formats, object-oriented mixing (Dolby ATMOS), game and interactive audio, audio for virtual reality (VR), asset management, and multi-format delivery workflows. Students will develop advanced Pro Tools mixing techniques, as well as explore compatibility and interchangeability among formats, playback systems in theaters, broadcast, and the home, and the future of audio and streaming media. Students will prepare a series of mix projects focused on creating immersive and interactive audio.
