Ethan Setiawan is a Boston, Massachusetts–based mandolin player who has won accolades such as the National Mandolin Championship and the RockyGrass Mandolin Championship.
He is a member of the bands Corner House, Mudskippers, and the Harmolodic String Band, and freelances with musicians such as Darol Anger and Tony Trischka. An active member of the Boston alt-bluegrass scene, he has wended his way through traditional bluegrass, Bach partitas, and free jazz. His album Flux features original tunes drawn from these genres.
