Advanced Techniques for the Electronic Music Producer

Description

In this course students will learn creative sound design and production techniques that will help develop their voice as an electronic music producer. Building on skills learned in the EPD core, students will learn creative workflows using their computer as an integrated production environment. Using Ableton Live and a variety of Max for Live devices and third party plug-ins, students will integrate creative sound design techniques into the composition and production process. Students will analyze the work of current producers and create sound alike and original work. Emphasis will be placed on developing the skills needed to work in a variety of contemporary electronic genres, with a special focus on producing club music.
