Beginning Ballet

Description

This course provides an entry level study of classical ballet technique. We will focus on proper body alignment, musicality, quality of movement, personal expression, use of breath, and the importance of clean technique. Proper ballet technique can be the foundation for countless other styles of dance. During this course we will emphasize the importance of executing steps with a holistic somatic focus in order to prevent injuries and create an efficient way of moving within the classical form.
