The Electronic Production and Design (EPD) Department and iZotope present a workshop featuring Berklee alumna Keeley Bumford, whose artist name is Dresage. As an artist, writer, and producer, her work centers around the creative and sometimes unorthodox use of a wide range of technology tools to create unique sonic landscapes and compelling vocal treatments. For this workshop, moderated by Berklee faculty member Jonathan Wyner, Bumford will demonstrate some of her techniques using the innovative software included in the iZotope Music Production Suite that is being used in the EPD curriculum. iZotope software is part of the bundle all students in the program use in their studies, and in this workshop you'll be inspired to explore some of Bumford's techniques in your own work.

About the Artist

Keeley Bumford is an artist, producer, and composer based in Los Angeles. Through her main project, Dresage, she creates lush synth and orchestral musings, allowing herself the freedom to inhabit many genres, from dreamy synth wave to indie art pop. She has credits as a producer and composer, having recently written, produced, and performed five original songs, as well as co-scoring the original Hulu/Blumhouse film My Valentine from the Into the Dark anthology series. She was in the beloved YouTube series 4 Producers 1 Sample with Andrew Huang and actively works within the film/tv sync world. Her recent placements include Apple, Netflix, UNIQLO, Nintendo, and more. While sculpting songs that ponder the topics of feminism and mental health, Bumford is most passionate about spreading the autonomy of self-recording and production to women, BIPOC, and folks along the gender and socio-economic spectrums who have been historically kept out of such spaces. She regularly collaborates with femme-driven initiatives to bring more equity and training to up-and-coming producers.
